 爱尔兰，Redmond Barry(瑞安·奥尼尔 Ryan O'Neal 饰）从小和母亲寄居在舅舅家，后来爱上了他的表姐Nora。Nora的父亲却想把她许配给一个英格兰将军John Quin。于是Barry向Quin提出决斗，决斗中Barry射中了Quin，误以为将他杀 死了，匆忙逃离家乡。路上他遭遇抢劫，走投无路只能加入英国军队。在军队中他才得知，其实Quin并没有死。Barry从英军中出逃，却加入了普鲁士军。战争结束后他成了普鲁士军官Potzdorf的心腹，更让他去监视一个在普鲁士的爱尔兰间谍。Barry却和这个爱尔兰骑士惺惺相惜，爱尔兰骑士带他出入赌场，收获颇丰。Barry觉得自己应该找个有钱的女人，于是盯上了Lyndon爵士的夫人Lady Lyndon。Lyndon爵士病重身亡，一年后，Barry和Lady Lyndon结婚，也成了一名贵族，改名为Barry Lyndon。但Lyndon爵士和Lady Lyndon的儿子Bullingdon却十分不喜欢Barry，Barry也预感到自己的未来将会毁于Bullingdon手中.....

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
